Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): John Deere L120 Blade Stopped, john deere l120, ground connections

Question
I was mowing along and all of a sudden the blade stopped.  I was still sitting on the seat with the saftey button working, so that doesn't seem to be the problem.  If I get up, the tractor shuts off like it's supposed to.  The engine runs fine but the PTO yellow switch does nothing. The tractor will move forward and backward fine.  Is there a fuse that burnt out, a bad wire, bad PTO or something else?  The tractor is about 4 years old.

Answer
Hello David:

Clean the Ground Connection for the PTO. Usually this is the Cause of the Problem you Described. Remove and Clean the Ground Connections. According to the Breakdown the Only Fuse is for the Ign Switch. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Numbers and Click Find. Then Select the Sectional File. Then Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View Online. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
