Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Murray 40508X92E Riding Mower, shifter knob, loose connections

I am having a problem shifting from neutral to reverse or to drive.  Any idea what the problem might be?  Thanks.

Hello Hank:

On this Model Mower you need to Check All the Linkage from the Shifter Knob to the Transaxle for Binding, Bent or Loose Connections and Rods. If the Linkage is Good, then the Problem is Most Likely the Shift Keys Inside the Transaxle. Send me All the Information Off the Transaxle OEM Plate.
