Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): hooking up a carb on a briggs, briggs stratton engine, briggs stratton

Question
QUESTION: I just rebuilt a 12.5 hp briggs & stratton engine and when I took it apart I took off the carb and unhooked the governor completely now I have the motor back together but I cna not figure out how to hook the governor back up to the carb right   so the motor will not start. I should have paid more attention when I took them off of the motor but it is a little late for that now. It would really help if you had any pictures that showed how they were hooked together cause I can not seem to find any on the internet, or a good description on how they go back together. Thank you

ANSWER: Hello Joe:

Send me the Model Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. The Carburetor Hook Ups Depend on the Model of the Engine. Thanks.

QUESTION: THe model number for that engine is 286707 and the type number is 0441

Answer
Hello Again Joe:

You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM and Enter the Model Numbers. Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the Engine you Wish to View. Select the Fuel, Brackets, Control and Springs File. I am Using this for Reference. The Throttle Cable Attaches to the Throttle Control Bracket. The Cable Moves a Slide that Moves a Piviot. The Piviot has the Spring (#209) Attached to it and to the Governor Arm. The Solid Link (#202) Connects to the Governor Arm and goes to the Throttle Shaft on the Carburetor (shown under the Carburetor, Carburetor Kit File (#131, 131B).  When the Throttle Cable is Moved it Moves the Piviot and the Piviot Pulls the Spring. The Spring Pulls the Governor Arm and the Governor Arm Moves the Throttle Shaft. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
