Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Push Lawnmower, briggs and stratton, hp briggs

Question
I have a Murray mower with a 4.5 HP Briggs and Stratton engine.  The mower will start, but will not continue to run once you begin to cut the grass.  It sounds like it is not getting fuel, but there is no fuel line on this engine, is there?  The grass is not tall enough to choke the mower.

Answer
If you don't see a fuel line then you most likely have a pulsa style carb.  This is identified by a the carb mounted directly to the fuel tank.

Most likely the carb/tank needs to be dis-assembled and cleaned with compressed air and carb cleaner.  You might want to purchase a dipharagm kit before you take apart the carb.
Check out this site and see if this is you carb.
