Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): charging system, hp model, warranty work

My battery drains after engaging blades for awhile and the red charging light stays on.  I have a troy-built tractor with a B&S 22 hp model 407777 type 274729 engine. Please help. Thanks,

Bummer John, Troy-bilt makes the absolute crappiest tractors on the planet!!!! I currently have 17 in my shop for warranty work, that's 20% of my total pending work orders. You got what you paid for!
Test the charging system by using a volt meter between the battery terminals. You should have almost 13.5 volts DC.
Let me know what your readings are we'll go from there.
If you don't have a volt meter all I can do is guess.
