Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda Riding Mower, question pool, honda engines

My father owns a Honda H4518H Riding mower that is about ten years old. For the last few years the mower deck wouldnt shut off for minuets after disengaging. Now the PTO wont come on at all. What should I do? Where do I start?

Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool. Check the Voltage. If the Voltage is Above 12.8VDC, then the PTO is Out of Adjustment,Bad or the PTO Switch is Bad.
