Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Table saw motor, question pool, plastic junk

Question
My 2.7 horsepower 10" table saw started making a bad smell and smoking one day... I flipped it over and removed the housing on the motor to find som black plastic junk had melted and bound up the motor. I removed the palstic stuff and what is left is some kind of cooling fin thing. It runs now, but sounds horrible. My question is: can I get away with NOT buying a new motor (is this safe?) and why did this happen? Thanks so much.

Answer
Hello Mike:

Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool. If you Send me the Make and Model Numbers Off the Saw I May be Able to Locate a Breakdown/IPl and Better Assist you. You can Replace the Part that Melted, the Bearings and the Brushes at the Same Time.  Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let Me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
