Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): fg-100a tiller, lawn chief, flower bed

Question
I have had this fg-100a tiller and use it a lot every spring and summer for about the last 3 years. Last year and now this spring I start tilling with it. It starts up well, runs well. Then when I start tilling it will run well for a few seconds then the tines will slow the engine struggles, then the tines stop and the engine dies. I restart it and the same thing happens, over, and over and over. It wasn't like that when I first got it. Does it need to be greased? I am really needing it quick to put in my two new gardens, and rework my front flower bed.

Answer
 Hello Teretta:

The Cause for this can Be a Couple of Things. 1- The Carburetor May Require Cleaning. The Carburetor will Operate Properly Without a Load but as Soon as a Load is Applied the Engine SLows and Quits Due to The MAin Jet Being Restricted and Not Allowing the Proper Fuel for the Engine. 2- The Gear Box May Require Lubrication(Oil).  As the Gear Box is Operated the Metal Heats and Starts to Drag or Bind Due to Low or No Lubrication(Oil). Who is the OEM of this Tiller? Manti, Atlas, Lawn Chief? Thanks.

 Respectfully

 John
