Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): no spark toro 10-32 model56190, merry christmas and happy new year, continuity test

Question
Hi, I'm having starting problems with my Toro 10-32 rider. The starter engages properly and the engine turns over but there is no spark and no start.  Hpwever, when the coil ground is removed the engine starts up right away with a good spark. As soon as I reconnect the ground lead the engine quits.  All 3 interlocks (seat, trans. and blade)appear to be working correctly (continuity test performed) and the ignition switch was replaced so I'm thinking that these are not the culprit.  Could the problem be with the interlock module. I am reluctant to replace due to cost without more info.  I'd appreciate any help you could provide.   thanks     art harmon

Answer
 Hello Art:

Use a Jumper and Jumper Out the Safety Switches. If you are Sure the Switches are Good, then Using the Wiring Diagram Check the Wires for a Short to Ground. Usually if the Switches are Good, then the Interlock is Bad. That is Provided there is no Damage to the Wiring Harness. You can View a Breakdown/IPL with the Electrical Diagram At this Addy https://lookup2.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?xCaller=Toro and Enter the Model Number. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. When you Tell me what Happens, it May Help Someone Else that Reads this Post. Thanks. Be Safe.

 Respectfully

PS: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (:-))
