craftsman eager1. The mower only works when I keep  pressing the rubber primer, when I let go it stops, gas is new.

 Hello Harold:

 Clean and Rebuild the Carburetor and Replace the Primer Bulb. The Main Jet Inside the Carburetor is Restricted by Varnish Build Up and Trash. You are using the Choke/Primer Port/Passage to Run the Engine. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Engine or the Mower, Please. With these I can Locate a Breakdown/IPL and Better Assist you. The Carburetor will need to be Soaked Overnight in Carburetor Cleaning Solution(I use Gunk) and then Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air. **Remember to Wear Safety Glasses when Doing Any Mechanical Repairs. It May be a Pain to Wear them, But It's More of a Pain to have a Problem with Your Eyes.** Install New Kit and Primeer Bulb. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance.
