Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Steering gear, mtd lawnflite, steering wheel

Question
I have got an MTD Lawnflite 703 garden tractor and whenever I turn the steering wheel to full lock the large steering gear slips against the one on the end of the steering rod and I end up with a steering wheel in the left or right position while the wheels are strait. I have checked all the gears for wear and there isn't any.
Has something fallen off?

 It Sounds Like the Lower Bushing or Clip May be Bad. Send me the Model Numbers Off of the Mower, Please. With these Numbers I can Locate a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower and Better Assist you.
