Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): no spark, push mower, coil ignition

My Craftsman 6 hp push mower has no spark. put in new plug. It was running fine last week. Put it away and this week it wouldn't start (it gets fuel).  Disconnected kill switch wire thinking might have grounding problem but still no stark. What can I try next.

 Hello Ned:

 Remove the Blower Housing(metal engine cover) and Expose the Coil. Check for a Bad Wire on the Coil Lead to the Plug and the Shut Off Wire. If the Wires are Good, then the Coil/Ignition Module is Bad. Send me the Model Numbers Off of the Engine and I May be Able to get a Diagram for you to View. This Diagram May Assist you in making this Repair. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.
