Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 12 horse Murray lawnmower, murray lawnmower, universal throttle cable

The murray was brought used so this is all I could find on it Model No.38500D and OVXL120 20266E SER2059D THEY SAID they rebuild the carborator and when you have it in low it runs high and in low it shuts off. Do you think it's the wrong carberator? We just can't figure it out. I appreticate if you could help but if not thank you very much.

 Hello Darrell:

 No Worries. The Throttle Cable is a Universal One and is Marked for a Different Type of Cable Mount. It Doesnt Hurt Anything. If you Really want the Throttle Lever to Read Correctly, then you will need to Purchase a Universal Throttle Cable Marked Opposite from the One on the Mower Now. Also those are the Model Numbers and you should be able to Use them to Purchase the Proper Throttle Cable if you Dont want to Purchase a Universal One. Thanks. Hope this Helps.
