Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawn mower clutch, lawn mower, clutch

Question
Hi I have a 1996 troy bilt 21' Model 34322. I have noticed that the clutch is getting weak, The wheel that the drive belt is on dos'nt seem to lower down on the drive wheel firm enough. It will drive the wheels when lifted off ground but not under load?

Answer
 Hello Steve:

The Drive Wheel could be Worn or You may Need to Adjust the Drive Wheel to Engage Properly. Only Some of these Mowers Have Adjustments; if yours does it is Simple to Adjust and You should be able to Adjust it Yourself. Your Owners Mannual should also have the Instructions. If you Locate the Adjuster (some are a Linkeage Adjustment and some are a Cable Adjustment) and think you need more Help, just let me know. We can Set up a Time to go to the Chat Room for Quicker Communication. If it doesnt have Adjustments, then you need to Replace the Drive Wheel.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
