Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Motor runs but dies, eager 1, tecumseh engine

I just cleaned out the fuel tank and hose.  I cleaned out the carburetor. It had some gunk in it. But before it did the same thing except it ran and would the act like dying but most of the time it would resume.   Now it runs for various amounts of time before it dies.  It is an Eager 1 from craftsman ( sears ) with a tecumseh engine. Approximately 4 years old.

Hi Larry,

You're on the right track.  I would re-clean the carb making sure to get every hole and small opening.  Use a tiny wire to probe, then blow out with compressed air. I have had to redo some carbs several times after missing just one small hole. The spark plug is new or good?
