Snowmobile Repair: starts but dont run /polaris 91 440f, key switch, throttle response

Question
the original problem started with having no spark. Changed exciter coil, cdi box, cleaned carbs. Still no spark. Unplugged the kill and key switch, got the snowmobile to start. Now it will only idol. When pushing throttle, the rpm's won't pick up. Does this have anything to do with the kill switch not being plugged in? (as something not getting full power)Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Answer
Hello Rob,

I would start with replacing the kill, more for safety. The kill being unplugged could affect throttle response. There are wires hooked up to the throttle and kill, that will turn the motor off, if they are dissconnected, and the throttle is pulled. I would start with making sure your plugs are new, and clean. Make sure the float height on the carbs is set properly. Also, check the compression, and make sure your crank seals are not leaking. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck with the sled! --Arcticatman
