A lot of this question is missing important information.  What was the reason for the tow, how far was it towed. Highways or local streets...

The link above has some information what is recommended for towing your vehicle, but you also have to remember that those numbers are for "BRAND NEW, well maintained vehicles" which have not been driven at all type deals.

I know this is not really an answer but with a lack of information I can not provide you answers.
