What is the proper way to tow a 4 wheel drive chevy truck with no back tires?

Ok, slightly lost here.

Are you a tow truck driver trying to figure this out?

Or did you buy a truck from someone which has no tires on the rear end?


So many possible answers to this, that I could list about a dozen ideas.

But if you get tires and put them on it will help a lot.

Flatbed tow trucks work great for this, but it can also damage the vehicle as it slides not rolls on the bed. Solid parts bouncing on the bed also tend to cause damage.

If you have a sling tow truck then it can pick up the rear and tow it better, but a lot of tow truck drivers do not have trucks with slings anymore. Or even know now to use them.

And since it is a 4 wheel drive truck, there are also issues where the 4 wheel drive might be an issue, and you might have to drop the front drive line.
