In Mar of 07 in Cali I tried to sell my car. The paper work never made it to the DMV and the car stayed in my name with out me knowing. In Jun of 07 the car was car towed. I did not know the car was towed in till around Dec. 2007 because I was fighting in Iraq between Mar 07-Nov. 07. I was never told by the towing company that I have been towed. Now they want $2,500. Is there anything I can do?

Yes, number one you have relief under the soldiers and sailors relief act and the state code specifically states that you are not responsible if you sold the vehicle. The code is easy to access on line. All you need is documentation that you sold the vehicle.
