Towing Issues: Car got towed last night, police towed, chp office, tow company

Question
i have multiple questions so I'll try to make the story short. On Dec. 27 2:50a.m me and my friends got pulled over in my car after coming from my friends bday party, all of us being 18. we got pulled over because of my friend wasn't driving so well on the road. Well we got pulled over my friend got a ticket for driving my car without a license because i wasn't sober enough and my car got towed. My questions are:
1- Even though i did not drive and i didn't get a ticket but my car was towed, what do i need to do, all i got was go to the CHP Office to get a release form. Is there anything else?
2- I also did not take my keys when they towed the car in fear that i had to leave it so would it be with the towing company or the CHP office?
3- What happens if my keys are not to be found since i did not take them?

Answer
Bernard,

It is rare for the tow company to lose your keys, so that is a matter not to worry about at this point.

In oregon you can get your car with the release in just a few hours. I have heard that california holds some cars for 30 days, but I don't know much about it really.

Just call the chp office, or even the tow company, to get more information. I'm sure that would be a good help to people here on this site in the future so be sure to post what you find out.

No one got in trouble for being drunk and under 21??? I got busted every time when I was under 21!
