Towing Issues: Car towed, hollywood ca, natural hazards

Question
I parked last Saturday evening by a meter on a side street in Hollywood, CA.  The posted sign said 2 hour parking 8 am -6 pm.  I parked at 7 pm.  The street had leafy low hanging trees.  They obstructed my view of another sign, above the first one, saying no parking after 6 pm.  When I returned around 9 pm, my car had been ticketed and towed.  Should this have happened when the sign I violated was not in plain sight?

Answer
Yes, No and the reason I say that is that natural hazards such as trees will always be an issue dealing with signs...

They look great but at times they do block vision of signs or even other traffic...

But I would have to say that it sounds as if the tow was legal as the police had it towed and I bet you are not the only person that has been towed for the same reason...

Now I am not bashing you or anyone else but generally if a parking space is to good to be true and available then it usually has some kind of restrictions on it...

Best answer there is to be really aware of your parking location and to do a quick look around and see if there are other signs..  And in any parking spaces on streets with meters, it is best to physically check the meters for special information on them also about regulations.  Remember that meters make money for the City and as such they tend to have enforcement hours which are for when there are lots of "business"
