Towing Issues: towing issue, vehcile, o clock

My vehicle was impounded at one o'clock in the morning. it was towed less then 5 miles form the actual towing company. I went to retrieve my vehcile about 9 hours later and was charged $180.00. Can a towing company charge this amount to release a vehicle.

YES, MAYBE, I do not know...

It all depends on the City and State you are in, as each one has different rules, regulations and such.   Some places regulate the rates, some do not.   I can not answer this question as I am lacking IMPORTANT INFORMATION...

But from the bulk of the questions I get on here, this price while it seems high is actually quite normal. In fact in some areas you really got a bargain.
