Towing Issues: towing issues, generic answer, tow company

Question
What happens to your vehicle if it was towed and you cant afford to take it out and its been at the towing place  over 60 days.

Answer
well the "GENERIC ANSWER" is the tow company files paperwork with the state after a period of time, and in the process notified the last registered owner and any legal owners of the vehicle that it was towed...

After all that is done, the tow company conducts a "lien sale" of the vehicle where the winner is the new owner of the vehicle with a "clear title" due to the lien sale...

The last registered owner (depending on state laws where this is happening) is responsible for any towing and storage fees owned after the sale, and as such is either turned into collections, or in some cases (state law again) has either their drivers license or other vehicle licenses suspended till the debt is cleared up with the tow company...

That is the "GENERIC ANSWER" since I do not have the laws and know where  you are...
