Towing Issues: Damages due to Dragging, tow truck driver, rear wheel drive

Question
My vehicle was recently towed but before being towed it was dragged about 40-50 feet to a spot that had more room to jack up and load the car.  What are potential mechanical damages to my vehicle as a result of it being dragged 40-50 ft while in the gear was in PARK?  My car is a rear wheel drive and was backed up in my parking spot. So it was dragged from the front end.

Answer
While damages can happen when dragging the vehicle, short distances usually do not cause much of a chance. Sure there are things that can happen, but most of the time it would be tires getting scrubbed or flatspotted and the like...

Plus some tow truck driver do use special skates to help slide the vehicle or dishwashing soap to help slide the vehicle, there are several methods to do this and reduce the chances of damage...

It kind of depends on the skills of the driver, the conditions and such.

But to ask it if "DID CAUSE DAMAGE" I could not answer that question, "could it of caused damage" it could of, but I was not there and do not know all the information...

Have you driven the vehicle yet, have you found anything wrong with it, I do not know this either. Could a mechanic who looks at it find anything wrong, I do not know. Some damage takes time to show up and others are very easy to notice.

Sorry, I know this is not much of an answer, but its the best I can do.
