Towing Issues: stolen buick 397 PRK, buying my car, storage fees

i live in TN the thief stated they were buying my car but left with out paying anything state law says it is civil mater and wont enter car stolen! thief called asking tag info cause car was towed in Washington state and they want to find i need to find first help!! if you know how i can find tell me how i don't want car want to stop thief from getting it!!!!

something in this question does not pass the smell test.

First of all, if they were doing a test drive and have not returned then it does become a stolen vehicle... Check with the police again and file a report...
If it was under an agreement to pay in payments and they are not then it is a civil matter as it would be a repossession issue..

Now all vehicles which are registered can be tracked to the last registered and legal owners via either the license places or the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

If you were the owner of the vehicle you should be getting a letter from the towing company who has impounded it be it in Tennessee or Washington or where ever it is...

But also as last registered vehicle owner you would also be responsible for any and all towing and storage fees against the vehicle...

Also good advise is to also contact a lawyer to see what can be done in this case...
