Question
I have replaced the battery in my truck 3 times in the past 2 years. When I took out the battery the positive and negative cables touched and caused the wires to spark, when I installed the new battery and started the truck I noticed my fuel gage is not working, I checked all the fuses and they are all good so, my question is what would make the fuel gage not work and do you think I fried the wire to the fuel tank when it sparked. Please help Thank you , Karen

Answer
Hello, when the cables are shorted like this there are usually a few fuses that blow, did you check the gauge fuse on the inside fuse panel? Does the temperature gauge work, both are on the same fuse. If the temp gauge works then there is a chance that the fuel gauge in the dash burned out.
