Toyota Repair: transmission, d light, d system

A Toyota 1993 t100 the O/D light comes on every once in a while. Flashed and then goes out. Only when driven  in in stop and go type. I drive every day 25 mil at 60-65.mph on I 40 non stop to work and back. A bit sluggish on the start after driving. Do I need to look for a new truck.

Possibly yes, especially if it has close to 200k miles, in 1993 they still used the same transmission that came out in 1989. There is an onboard computer which may have some trouble codes stored in it to give a clue as to what may be going on, most repair shops can get the trouble codes for you, then you can reply back and let me know, the problem may be with the O/D system but in most cases this is where problems with these transmissions start.
