Toyota Repair: sunroof, drain tubes, toyota rav4

Question
Hi.
I have a 2001 Toyota Rav4 and the sunroof leaked on the passenger side. I found about 2 inches of water in the floor of the passenger side only.
I have a friend who opened it up, found drain tubes and cleared all the dust, etc. Then we ran the water hose over the car and it leaked again.

At this point, I think I need a new seal but am having trouble finding any company to do it.
The local Toyota dealer parts department man took the VIN number and said he thinks it had to be an after market model because they didn't offer a sunroof that year.

I have called about 6 auto repair places, even autp parts places, for a new seal--my friend could install it but have had no luck.

Is there anything you could suggest? I think I may have to just put in a whole new sunroof.

Thanks very much--Patricia

Answer
The nproblem is not the sunroof seal, one of the drain tubes is probably disconnected and the water is leaking inside instead of exiting to the outside below, you wouldhave to have someone pull the headlinder down to inspect the drain tubes and reconnect any that are disconnected, whether factory installed or aftermarket doesn't matter, they all have this drain feature, you just have to find someone that is willing to deal with the problem.
