Toyota Repair: 2009 Rav 4 a.c. issues, dash area, rav 4

Dear Ted,
I have encountered two problems with my 2009 Rav 4 a.c. First, there is a rattle that seems to come from the dash area that occurs at around 30 mph and especially when I take my foot off of the gas. The dealership replaced a "valve" and it worked for about 2 weeks. The noise has returned. Second, since I have only 12k miles on the car I was surprised when a sour odor was emanating from the a.c. when it was first engaged. The dealership did some sort of refresher process. That worked for about 2 weeks and it is also now back. Any insights on either of these two problems would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is a service bulletin from toyota regarding A/C odor that may apply, ask the dealer to refer to T-SB-0378-09. I don't have any information on rattle noises and can not help with anything from past experience, they will have to try to locate it, by the way, the warranty is still in effect for both concerns.
