Toyota Repair: Toyota Celica 2000, celica 2000, low oil pressure

Question
Hi,
My question is that there is this green light symbol that looks like a light bulb on the dashboard, and I have no idea what it means? My check engine light was on for a while, I recently took my car to a mechanic but my car ended up sounding worse, and it feels like some under parts are loose. How much would it cost to get my car looked at? And how much would it cost to fix the cigarette lighter/power outage?

Answer
A good trustworthy mechanic is worth his weight in gold; depending on where you live, you can expect to pay $80+ per hour.  Your green light should be explained in your owners manual; the green light could be your cruise control main, ECT in Power mode, or another non-critical indicator. Most "important" indicators are red, orange, or yellow to warn you of a situation that needs immediate attention (e.g. low oil pressure, high temp., etc).
The cigarette lighter repair involves removing the trim by the radio and cigarette lighter; which may involve a couple of hours of labor.  Add in parts and you are looking at a couple of hundred dollars.

Hope this helps.
