QUESTION: what is wrong if my cv axle wont stay in my transmission i have a 93 Toyota camry v6 xle some man told me my snap ring . what else could it be?

QUESTION: it is the driver side

There is a snap ring on the end of the axle inside the transmission, it could be that this snap ring is missing, the axle should be removed to check. Do you know if this car has been in an accident? Has any work been done on the suspension or transmission?
