Toyota Repair: Toyota Caldina 1997, toyota caldina, trouble code

When I start my car, my engine light come on once I start to drive, that's never happened before, my car still goes but feels really sluggish, can you please tell me what would be causing the light to come on.

You would have to get the computer scanned to get the trouble code that causes the light to turn on,there are many things that can cause it, most repair shops and some autoparts stores can do this for you, after you know what the trouble codes are I can help with this.
