Toyota Repair: 95 Toyota Camry LE 4c, air control valve, toyota camry

Question
I have a 1995 Toyota Camry LE 4C with 100,400 miles. My problem- When car is cold starts and runs outstanding. Stop at a store for a few minutes and when restarting the car and putting in gear the car will miss until the gas pedel is hit. Then runs outstanding. Dealersip has checked and replaced the spark plugs and wire, ignition module and wires, distribtor, and fuel filter. Also cleaned the choke plates. Ruled out the ignitors, timing belt and head gasket. Used the black box to check semsors and other possibilities but nothing showed up. Can you give me any help. I sure need it!!!!!What would you do?

Answer
There is an idle air control valve located on the bottom of the throttle body that is a known source for idle problems as well as starting problems, in some cases it can be removed and cleaned, this also requires removal of the throttle body, a malfunctioning IAC valve will not set a trouble code, if the valve can't be cleaned suscessfully it will need to be replaced.
