Toyota Repair: alarm, brain air, air horns

Question
93 Toyota pickup with automatic door alarm. Both units broke where they attach to the key ring so we never use them anymore. Some how the red dash light is on and when we turn on the engine the alarm goes off. We have found the remotes but still cannot get the car on without the alarm going off. My husband it searching for the correct wire to disconnect the alarm... any help?

Answer
You will need to trace the electrical circuits the alarm shop used to install the alarm initailly. The starting circuit would be a good place to start since there is most likely a kill switch installed. Start by removing the components (siren, brain, air horns if applicable). From that point, you will see where the wires lead into the wiring harness and disconnect them.

It's a straight forward removal.
