Toyota Repair: 4runner gas, toyota 4runner, better mileage

What kind of octane fuel would you put in a 99 toyota 4runner SR5? I want to buy one but won't if premium is required. Thanks!

87 octane works just fine, premium is not required, I use 87 in my '07 FJ cruiser with no problems, even though there are people who will tell you using higher octane will get you a little bit better mileage it costs more so what's the point, did you ever wonder why ARCO stations are always crowded?
