Toyota Repair: 1989 mr 2 making noise, 1989 toyota mr2, toyota mr2

Question
I have a 1989 toyota Mr2 and it has a noise in the engine while it is idling and the noise level increase when you step on the gas or when you are driving and give it more gas. Sounds like bad bearing going out. Sounds like it might be coming from the fuel injection system. Do you have any subjestions on what the cause is and how to fix it.

Answer
Mike,
Because I am not physically there to inspect the vehicle I cannot guess at this. Without knowing what the noise sounds like
and where its coming from its impossible. Just too many variables, bearing is a knock, valve noise is ticking from top of the engine, neither one is good.

Could be a something on the front of the engine, bearing, oil pump,
water pump etc. You need to go to a Toyota dealer or repair shop
that works on Toyotas and have a good technician (NOT a a service rep)listen with a stethoscope.
