Toyota Repair: Engine Heads/Block, coolant water, disability status


Question
I have a 1993 4Runner 6 cylinder. the engine does'nt start
the battery is good and the starter was working then it just show a crag-crag sound and stop I tried to start again
but it just sound crag-crag then that was it

I called a mechanic and he said that is the engine no longer working and even we replace the battery it will be the same he check very carefully their was a lickage of
a coolant water in the exchaust pipe

Please kindly assist about this matter it needed another
whole engine their are also few recall that we have receive
but because it is our disability status we seldom use the
car

If coolant is leaking into the exhaust it is a major problem, probably the headgaskets are leaking, there is coolant getting into the cylinders and this is what is keeping the engine from turning over, contact the toyota dealer with all the information you have including the VIN# to see if the headgasket recall is still in effect for this year model.
