Toyota Repair: 1993 camry no cold air, electronic leak detector, air blows

Question
I have a 1994 Camry LE 4cyl with 261,000 miles. The air conditioner is not blowing cold air. I have checked the fuses, the fan is running and air blows out of all the appropriate vents.

Additionally, I have a light in the lower left of the dash that stays on all the time.  The light looks like a car with its back brake lights on. I have replaced all the brake lights and they all work. Any suggestions?

Answer
The a/c compressor is probably not turning on because of low freon pressure, the first step is to hook up pressure gauges to see what the a/c line pressures are, if the pressures are low or there is no pressure in the lines there may be a leak in the system, the leak can be found with either an electronic leak detector or by adding a flourescent dye to the system and later checking with an UV light for the source of the leak.
There is a tail light relay inside the trunk on the left behind the carpeting, it's attched to a brace in the trunk, these relays are known to cause the warning light on the dash to stay on, make sure the brake light in the rear window has the correct bulb installed in it.
