Answer -
I need to know if it is a V-6 0r 4 cylinder engine?

Answer
I'm not sure how much help I can be and I may need some more input.
Is the check engine light on and is the PO340 code back?
Can you tell me if any other repair attempts were made recently or anything else that may have been done to the engine whether by a repair facility or yourself?
The ECU does control the the injector on-off time but it does so based on a lot of information from various sensors in the system so I would suspect the ecu to be the least cause of the problem.
Before you reply, check the ground connections on the driver's side of the engine on the intake chamber, there is a 10mm bolt that connects a bunch of ground wires(brown/black) I have seen these bolts either come loose or not tightened after the spark plugs were replaced, let me know if that helped or not.
