Toyota Repair: rear lights, side marker, light harness

Question
1992 Camry.  Rear break lights and side marker lights work, but, not the regular tail lights.  Replaced bulbs.  I noticed a module in the trunk called "Light Failure" where the light harness connects to. Could this module be bad? I checked the fuses - all good.  Please help!

Answer
Yes the relay could be the cause but before replacing it make sure that the wires in the harness that is connected to the left trunk hinge are ok, it's very common for these the break inside the insulation because they can get strectched, cut the harness open all the way behind the carpeting and expose the individual wires some of them may be broken, they may be broken inside the insulation, a slight pull on the wires will make them pull apart if broken on the inside, either solder or use crimp connectors to repair the harness.
