Toyota Repair: noise when turning stirring wheel while driving, toyota camry v6, 1989 toyota camry

Question
Hi!

I think the noise comes from the steering wheel and it sounds like a low humming noise.  The noise is becoming frequent but there are times  it doesn't happen.  I hear the noise when I turn, driving at about 25mph.
Thanks again for your help.

Hi!  I drive a 1989 Toyota Camry V6.  When I'm driving or backing up, I can hear a sound/noise whenever I turn my steering wheel either to the left or right.  What do you think is the problem?  And how much does it cost to have it repaired?  Thanks and keep up the good work.

Answer -
Were is the noise coming from?
What does it sound like?
Does it do it all the time?
Howmany miles on car?

Answer
Not sure what to tell you as I cant actually hear the noise.
If its when your turning I would suspect its the Power steering. Have some one turn the wheel while the hood is open and see if you can get an exact location of the source of the noise.
