Toyota Repair: air flow meter, mass air flow sensor, air flow meter

Question
auto is 2001 Toyota Echo (purchased in the 2nd half of the year).  Mileage is approximately 130K.  it has an automatic transmission.  The engine is a 4 cyl EFI.

someone at the dealership says I need to replace the "air flow meter".  I was told by the parts house that this is the same thing as a "mass air flow sensor".

questions:
1.  are these 2 parts the same thing as one another?

2.  where can I find this part on the car?

3.  how difficult is it to change?

4.  if I change it myself, will I need any special tools?

thank you in advance for your assistance.

Answer
Yes they are the same, it's located just after the air filter on the large intake tube, it has an electrical connector and is held on with two phillips screws, all that is needed is a screwdriver to remove it.
i would suggest getting the new one from the dealer to help identify it, this will make it easier to locate.
