Toyota Repair: Transmission error code, toyota camery, metal shavings

Question
I have a 1996 Toyota Camery LE 4 cyl. auto trans, with 160,000 miles on it. The car keeps popping up a PO773 error code. It says it's the Shift Solenoid E circut Electrical.  I had the trans flushed and new filter put in and all the solenoids checked. The trans machanic says that he does not know exactally which solenoid is the "E" solenoid. And the dealer keeps giving conflicting locations of the solenoid. The tranny shifts fine and the machanic said when he dropped the pan there was no metal shavings of any kind. I need to get my car smogged-please help.

Answer
The Toyota parts department should be able to tell you which one it is. Its most likely clogged with clutch material from the 160K miles on the trans. You wont nec. see "metal" in the trans pan,
The good news is it shifts fine. The bad news is shortly after those codes, she dies. Could be next month or next week.
