Toyota Repair: Valve Adjustment on 98 Tacoma?, old adage, repair warranty

Question
Hello!  I have a 1998 Tacoma 2.4 4cyl AT with 98k mileage.  I'm about to come to the end of my 100k repair warranty.  I have been told conflicting opinions from the dealer whether this engine needs to have its valves adjusted.  One said don't have it done too soon, another said do it around 90k, and another said not to do it at all.  For prevention, should the valves have their adjustment checked now?  No major problems with engine other than its normal noisy-ness.  If there is a problem, I would like to know before 100k.  Please advise.  Thanks,  fh

Answer
Ever hear the old adage- If it aint broke, dont fix it?
Applys here.
If the valves get too loose, youll hear them.
If they were too tight you wouldnt have a smooth idle.
If they sound good and it idles good, chances are there ok.
Why waiste the $$
