Toyota Repair: 92 vs 94 camry 4cyl tranny, speed sensors, speed sensor

I bought a 94 camry tranny to replace my 92 one. The 92 unit has 2 speed sensors and the 94 has only 1. There is a divit in the case where the sensor would have been put but it was not drilled or machined for it. What would the #2 speed sensor be for and will this tranny work without it? Thankyou for any help you can give me.

Probably not, not only is there a difference in the transmission and how it operates but the computer that controls it is also different, it needs to see the input from both speed sensors in order to shift correctly etc.
The bottom line is that it just won't work.
