My Check engine light came on, how do I read and clear the codes.

You can get the trouble codes by putting a jumper wire in the diagnostic connector located under the hood,connect the wire between terminal TE1 and E1 turn the ignition on and read the number of times the check engine light flashes, it will be a two digit code, for instance, two flashes followed by six is a twenty six code, there may be more than one code, each is seperated by a short pause, the codes can be erased by either removing the efi fuse or the negative side of the battery terminal.
