Toyota Repair: 96 T-100 wont start, salvage yard, electrical works

Question
I have a 1996 T-100 2WD automatic 197,000 mi.    drove it home the other day shut it off and now it wont start.everything electrical works but i noticed that indicator lights are out on shift column guy at auto zone said it sounded like maybe a nuetral safety switch but he shows no part available, checked all fuses and they are ok.any ideas?

Answer
That's a possibility especially if there is no clicking noise from the starter.
Check the connector on the switch for any corrosion that may have built up from moisture etc., the only place to get the NPN switch is from the toyota dealer or you can try to locate one from a salvage yard.
