QuestionMy 2000 Avlon VSC and check englin light came on and I took to the dealer, and they said that the gas cap was not tight and cause the light came on and they reset it, and I always tighten the gas cap after that, but those lights came back again last week, What happened and what should I do?
AnswerI need to know the DTC codes in the computer, they should be listed on the repair order, at this time, because they came up with the gas cap being left loose, I would guess that the codes were, PO441,442 and 446, this is an evap system leak which is part of the emission control system.
Toyota has issued a service bulletin, TSB EG013-03, please have your dealer refer to this service bulletin for the repair procedure. If my guess is incorrect and there are different codes please let me know what they are.
