Toyota Repair: 1997 Camry lights remain on, fuse block, side marker

I leave my headlight/turn signal lever knob turned on. When I turn off the ignition, the tail and side marker lights remain on for a short period of time...approx 20-30 minutes at which time they turn themselves off.

20-30 minutes is too long, there is an auto turn off system but it should turn the lights off in less than 2 seconds, this may be a complicated electrical system problem, the auto-off is controlled by the integration relay located on the fuse block behind the cover on the left side of the dash, there may be a problem with this relay or possibly a wiring problem, before doing anything make sure that "ALL" the fuses check good.
By the way, what happens when you turn the headlight switch to the off position and then turn the key off.
