Question -
I have a 1994 toyata tercel with 106k that is shaking.  Once I start driving my car, the car has resistance when I put my foot on the pedal.  There is also a simultaneous noise that comes from the engine.  It almost sounds like there is something in the exhaust that prevents my engine from working efficiently.  I filled up my gas tank and added engine oil the day before this trouble started.

Has the timing belt ever been replaced, if not I suggest that you have it inspected along with the water pump.

Answer
It may be a problem with the catalityc converter, have it checked, the converter can get clogged up if it disintegrates and so restrict the exhaust flow.
I'm not sure what the problem may be from the information I have.
It is also possible that you have gotten some bad gasoline.
